Landscaping in Clanwilliam, Architecture in Clanwilliam, Architect in Clanwilliam, Architectural Services in Clanwilliam

We provide professional landscaping services to any clients in the western cape region not too far from Clanwilliam.

We provide Landscaping and garden development services mainly to the Western Cape, but planning and design can be provided to a wider region. During the first visit to the site, all aspects of the garden are discussed, and notes are taken of client preferences. A quote for design is sent to the customer, and on acceptance the survey of the area is done. A list of suitable plants in the preferred colour scheme, and a list of possibilities regarding the hard landscaping accompany the scale drawing. Once plans, plant lists and quotes have been approved, implementation takes place. All hard landscaping are completed before compost can be dug in and planting commends. Plants are sourced from a wide range of nurseries to ensure good quality at the best prices. Arbor Day originated in 1872 in the United States territory of Nebraska. The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF), as the custodian of forestry in South Africa, is responsible for the campaign. The Tree of the Year for 2017 is Ziziphus mucronata, or as it is more frequently known, the wag-'n-bietjie tree. The Z. mucronata have many uses in traditional medicine. Sufferers from dysentery and lumbago may either chew the root or drink an infusion made from it, and the powered leaf and bark is used to relieve chest problems. The berries are edible and were used in making porridge or as a coffee substitute, as well as in the making of beer if fermented properly. During the Anglo-Boer war, the seeds were ground and used as a coffee substitute. This tree is considered to be immune to lightning, and offers protection to any person sheltering under it. It was customary that when a Zulu chief died, the tree was planted on his grave as a symbol of where the chief lies. When a stock owner died, and was buried according to custom within the cattle or goat kraal, some branches were placed on the grave so that the animals who ate on the leaves and twigs, would understand that their master had died. The home is where the heart is and the garden completes the home. Delightful scents and beautiful sights should welcome you back long before you open your front door. We believe the garden should be an extension of your home, and all members of the family must be considered, even the pets!
